Esteemed participants of MCMUN 2017,
It is my biggest pleasure to welcome you all to the fourth session of the METU College Model United Nations which will be held in December 2017, in one of the most distinguished schools in the capital city of Turkey.
After three successful conferences, our executive team is experienced and motivated enough to guarantee our participants an exceptional 4-day conference where they will have the chance to discuss the crucial problems related to this year's theme: 'Enhancing Global Development'. Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to learn more about the work of the United Nations, and meet new people from different places.
This year, our conference will include six General Assembly Committees (The Disarmament and International Security Committee, The Economic and Financial Committee, The Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee, The Special Political and Decolonization Committee, The Administrative and Budgetary Committee, and the Legal Committee) and two specialized committees (The Economic and Social Council and The Security Council). In addition to these committees, we will have The International Court of Justice and The Historical Committee which will discuss the Cuban Missile Crisis. With all of the General Assembly Committees and four specialized committees, MCMUN'17 has a committee to suit everyone's interests.
Our enthusiastic executive team is working hard to make this year's conference an unforgettable one for our participants with engaging debates, entertaining social events, and the energetic atmosphere of Ankara.
You can apply to our conference as a student officer, as a judge, as a press member or as a delegation.
Our website provides all the necessary information about FAT, the conference agenda and the schedule, but if you would like to receive further information or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
On behalf of our executive team, I am looking forward to welcoming you all this December for the fourth session of MCMUN...
